how much $$ should i bring?

Your necessities will be food and some travel (subway, Uber). I would plan on at least $30 per day for food and around $30 for transportation - whether you use it or not. So I would bring around $150, more if you plan on shopping, etc. In reality, you'll probably spend less than that. Also, don't forget your money for luggage if you are checking luggage onto the plane. Make sure you bring a debit/credit card as the airline check-in does not take cash.
