We're now starting to piece together our itinerary, but here's what you need to know so far.
FRIDAY, October 16 6:30am - We all meet at the Career Center and take a van to Atlanta. We'll get breakfast. *FLIGHT INFO IN PREVIOUS POST* Once we arrive in Chicago, we will take a train to the hotel (cost is $2.50). We'll do some sightseeing Friday afternoon and evening and you'll need money for lunch and dinner. SATURDAY, October 17 All Day at Columbia College for Radio Conference and Awards. Breakfast and Lunch provided. Dinner and Sightseeing Saturday evening. SUNDAY, October 18 We'll take the train back to the airport and fly home. Back at the Career Center at 5:30pm. Keep in mind Spirit Airlines charges for everything, so travel light. You are charged for bags on the way out AND on the way back. There is a link below for all the baggage charge info. Baggage charges are cheaper if done ahead of time online. If you know you're going to have baggage charges for carry on or checked luggage, bring me the money and I'll take care of it online.

SPIRIT AIRLINES FLIGHT INFORMATION HOTEL INFORMATION We got a tremendous rate on this awesome hotel from our new friends at Columbia College! It's within a half mile of the college so no further transportation needed. Stay Tuned For Further Updates! In the meantime, please fill out the forms attached and bring them to ACTC with you!

Dates: Friday, October 16 through Sunday, October 18 (You will be excused from school Friday) Midwest Regional High School and College Radio/Webcast Conference Sponsored by Radio Department, School of Media Arts, Columbia College Chicago & Intercollegiate Broadcasting System 33 East Congress Chicago, IL 60605 Saturday, October 17, 2015 8:30AM – 5PM Includes Terri Hemmert High School Radio/Audio Awards where WPPB will receive 6 awards. In order to do this, we must act quickly. The only affordable airline tickets are for Spirit Airlines out of Atlanta. We want to reserve these tickets immediately and are asking for you to bring a $250 deposit Thursday, October 8, to the career center (checks payable to ACTC) so we can order the tickets. Hotel costs - estimated to be about $100 per student total for the two nights, will be collected by the day of the trip. Food and entertainment costs are also extra, though breakfast and lunch Saturday are covered. More details to come. |
