The Leaders of the leadership team as of now are as follows: Station Manager - Ava Zapata Programming/Production - Porter Hand Promotions/Events - Rachel Koon News/Sports - Colt Gouge Pulse Sports Network - Chaeli Sawyer I have many things in the works to tell you guys in the coming weeks, including the event schedule, sports schedule, promotions ideas, etc. but first I need to know you are my leaders. So here's what I am going to expect of you if you wish to continue in the role. If you don't feel you can fulfill what's needed for the position, now's the time to let me know. In fact, please do let me know by July 1. WPPB The Pulse is a real-life entity. We run it like a business. We raise money to support it. We do community service. We produce and promote everything on it and about it. Therefore, if you wish to be a leader, it has to take a high priority in your life. I know many of you lead and are involved in many other things at your school, and that makes sense because you are the leadership type! I applaud that. And I know many of you need to work, too. But the station cannot be an afterthought to you. You cannot be a leader by title only. And to lead you must be fully invested, in other words, you know everything that's going on with the station and how it works. You guys, especially Ava, Porter, and Rachel, need to be involved in everything because what you lead, is, in fact, everything that we do. It's all connected. Colt and Chaeli, your involvement is a little more specialized but still very important. I will have an event schedule out very soon. Clear those dates. I know there may be an unavoidable exception at some point, but try hard to be at everything. You will have plenty of notice. Colt and Chaeli, that means just about every Friday night for football, and basketball dates to come. Ava, Porter, and Rachel, while you should attend some games, our weekend festivals (Spring Water Festival, Denver Downs, Standpipe Festival, Mile Long Yard Sale, Comicon Jr., Boo in the Park, Christmas parades, etc.) are your canvases to "paint" how we present ourselves in public. You see it's only about seven dates between now and Christmas. And, of course, getting the rest of the leadership team and others in the class to buy in and join you is essential to making things flow easier. I want to do some big things this year - really step it up, (I'm really excited!) and I need your input, support and dependability. And I promise you it's gonna look great on your resume! We'll also do a lot of planning in class, so it's important you be present and ready to be creative! Much more to come! But for now, just be honest with me (and yourself) and tell me if you're all-in! Text me or reply right here! I look forward to working with all of you and there is a lot you're going to learn about leadership this year! That being said, you won't hurt my feelings if you back out now. I'll admire your honesty. But come on, LET'S GOOOOOOOO!
